CVA'S DRAFT STRATEGIC PLAN NOW AVAILABLE TO READ/DOWNLOAD

CVA’s draft strategic plan, which can be downloaded below, sets out our ambitions under three key headings - capacity building, volunteering and community empowerment.

In working together with the staff team on the plan, CVA’s trustees had two main aims – firstly, to align our priorities with key government programmes such as the Big Society, localism and public service transformation and secondly to regain a voluntary sector ownership of these agendas, even as they are rolled out at a central government level.

We look forward to receiving your comments on the draft plan and, over the next three years, to working in partnership with you to achieve its aims. Please email steve.phaure@cvalive.org.uk with your responses or contact Steve at CVA to discuss the plan.

 New Routes Funding

Croydon was chosen as one of the ‘Development and Demonstration’ areas to develop innovative voluntary and community sector involvement in Integrated Offender Management arrangements.

Funded through Clinks * CVA along with colleagues from probation, the police, the local authority and the voluntary sector developed a multi-stranded piece of work that – between November 2010 and March 2011:

• Appointed a Court-based Womens Worker
• Mapped  Voluntary Community Organisations (VCO's) providing services to offenders
• Ran two mentoring training programmes
• Convened a conference with Safer Croydon Partnership to launch network of VCOs providing services to offenders
• Administered small grants programme

You can download from below a list of the successful groups who received Clinks funding and also a short summary of what they were funded to do.  If your group was funded by Clinks you can also download a monitoring form.  Please complete this and email to newroutes@cvalive.org.uk
