This Partnership will be responsible for setting the overarching vision and strategy for children and young people in the borough, working with stakeholders from the public, private and third sector to improve the physical, mental, emotional, social and economic well-being of children and young people living in Croydon.
We want to enable all children and young people in Croydon to be aspirational in their achievement of the 5 Every Child Matters outcomes: Be healthy; Stay safe; Enjoy and achieve; Make a positive contribution; and Achieve economic well-being.
It will work to:
- Improve the physical, mental, emotional, social and economic well-being of children and young people living in Croydon
- Engage and include Croydon’s diverse communities as active participants in the Children’s Trust
- Enable families to be resilient, robust and empowered so they can cope well with the challenges of everyday life as well as the crises.
The Children and Young People Board is not a decision-making body but will recommend for approval to statutory authorities any jointly agreed plans or strategies relating to children and young people; taking into account national policies, existing local service provision and likely available resources.
