What Does Faith together in Croydon do?

Faiths Together in Croydon (FTiC)
We exist to be a collective voice for all faith communities in Croydon, an interfaith network representing Croydon’s diverse faiths.
Faiths Together in Croydon acts as the platform to raise needs of faith communities with policy makers and other agencies to improve local awareness and engagement; working collectively to campaign for positive change. We undertake awareness raising, education and participation in active decision making across Croydon, London or the UK.
FTiC also works with individual members to empower and equip them with relevant advocacy skills and knowledge.

  • Serve as a platform for raising issues of concern for members, whether locally, regionally or nationally; facilitating campaigns on issues (collectively agreed)
  • Provide an opportunity for members to take an active role in influencing local decisions by engaging in strategic and themed partnerships; enhancing the understanding of different faith perspectives.

Response to riots in Croydon from FTiC

“Faiths Together in Croydon (FTiC) is committed to ensuring harmony and peace between all the different faiths, cultures and traditions which prevail in making Croydon the unique and vibrant community which is acknowledged by all.

FTiC utterly condemns, alongside the overwhelming majority of people, the mindless violence and vandalism which has manifested itself recently.  All the faiths and communities, irrespective of colour or creed, stand united in condemning the looting and the rioting, and we are committed to ensuring that our communities and faith centres continue to provide the local authorities with the required support.”

 Faith in our Future

Led by a few of Croydon’s Xpress workers, ‘Faith in our Future’ was a multi-faith event which invited every faith, culture and religion together to discuss, debate and share ideas, issues or concerns. Open to all, it drew together all faiths to embrace their cultures, every faith being recognised, valued and treated with importance and respect.
