Waterside Centre

The Centre is situated in a very attractive setting beside South Norwood Lake and Park. It is located at the junction between Avenue Road and Woodvale Road SE25 adjacent to the entrance to the park. It is close to 75, 157, 197, 468, 196 & 410 bus routes and Norwood Junction train station is 10 minutes walk away. There is unrestricted parking in surrounding streets. The Centre is fully accessible.

The Centre is comprised of two parts, a large house with office space and meeting rooms, and a large Pavilion Hall next door. The Centre is an ideal venue for a wide variety of activities and functions - residents meetings, AGMs, team awaydays, fund raising activities and sport and leisure activities. Please note that smoking is not permitted inside the buildings.

We have accommodation available of varying sizes on weekdays, evenings, and weekends up to 11.00pm. Tea and coffee making facilities are available and users are welcome to bring food to the centre. A cafeteria is due to open in the adjacent park in September 2004. As a community resource, room hire charges are kept to a minimum; there is a sliding scale of charges depending on the duration, size and type of function and organisation. The Centre offers facilities for voluntary, charitable and community groups and also private and commercial organisations.

The centre has recently undergone extensive refurbishments of furniture and equipment. An annual schedule of painting works ensures the building is always in a good state of decoration.

Whatever your needs, we can offer you a warm, friendly atmosphere in a relaxing setting.
