Croydon Eco Citizen

Our new scheme to recognise the great environmental changes that individuals, groups and schools are making in Croydon was launched in last month’s Your Croydon. Nominations have begun rolling in and the winner of the May Green Tip will be announced in the July edition.

Nominations can be made online through the council website www.croydon.gov.uk/environment or by completing the form below. The final deadline is Friday 25th July.

There will be a grand presentation ceremony on Thursday 23 October, 2-4pm in the Arnhem Gallery.

Focus on Fathers

For a second year, Focus on Fathers are hosting a football project to give fathers and their children an opportunity to spend qualify time together, improve their relationship and get fit. With all the negative stories about the absence of black fathers in their children's lives, the project seeks to engage fathers and children from black and minority ethnic communities based in Northwest Croydon. This years programme funded by Peabody Local Network Fund includes three weeks of football coaching, a trip to a premier football match and a celebration of black football heroes.
