The training will:

• Introduce the nature and responsibilities of fatherhood (beyond breadwinner)
• Using creative approaches to increase the involvement of fathers in services tailored for them
• Supporting existing services and organisations to increase their capacity to engage and support fathers
• Establishing clear working relationships with other key practitioners re’ fathers
• Taking a strategic overview of services for fathers
• Developing support and services for fathers
• Prioritising fathers for ‘counselling’ and the provision of specialist work around anger, stress management and emotional literacy
• Working with other agencies to ‘prioritise’ fathers needs
• Improving the signposting of individuals to appropriate [support] services
• To promote positive lifestyles to men/fathers in minority/marginalised groups.
• Increase awareness of men’s understanding of the importance of their health and wellbeing and supporting others.
