CVA: Volunteering Good Practice Sessional Worker

Job Title:
Volunteering Good Practice Sessional Worker (Maternity cover)

Salary:
Daily rate £200 - £250, depending on experience

No. of Sessions:
4 forums and 4 training courses to be delivered between June 2017 and April 2018.

Role:
Due to maternity leave the Volunteer Centre Croydon Team require support to deliver their funded activities. The Volunteer Management training programme and forums have been very successful and we want to continue building the momentum.

We would like someone with Volunteering Good Practice experience to:

  • Plan and deliver ½ day training sessions – there’s plenty of existing materials (which can be adapted). Topics to include Introduction to Volunteer Management, Recruitment of Volunteers, Support and Management of Volunteers.
  • Plan and deliver Volunteer Management Forums – informal meetings with a variety of themes, opportunities for volunteer managers to share experiences and ideas.
  • Follow up on any immediate queries arising from the training or forums with additional advice or resources and communicate with the Volunteer Centre Team about any issues to follow up.
  • Administer the training and forum sessions, including room bookings, Eventbrite booking system, evaluations via Survey Monkey, promotion via CVA and the Volunteer Managers mailing list.

Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of Survey Monkey, Powerpoint, Eventbrite and Mailchimp will be required. Most of this will be able to be done remotely and there will be plenty of support from the Volunteer Centre team.
