Steering group member - this is a person or group that makes a commitment to take part on a regular basis in the development and implementation of the roles of the Croydon Healthwatch Pathfinder and to provide information to and collect information from a local community or a specific group within that community.

The task groups have been working hard pursuing the priorities of Shadow Healthwatch Croydon. The groups were set up to work on areas chosen by members at this year’s public meeting. Any member can attend these groups that take forward the work of the Croydon Healthwatch Pathfinder.

End of Year Showcase Minimize

Croydon Healthwatch Pathfinder End of Year Showcase was on the 11th April from 4.30pm - 6.30pm.

Over the last year Croydon Healthwatch Pathfinder has undertaken a wide range of activities and enjoyed some notable successes. The showcase has given our members a chance to:

  • Find opportunites to be part of this work.
  • Hear about our work during 2011/12.
  • Hear about our pathfinder workplan.
  • Say what you think is important for when local healthwatch starts in 2013.
  • Meet other members, the steering group and the host team.

Task Group Events

The Reducing Inequalities Amongst Vulnerable groups Task Group hosted a public event around transforming services for people who are homeless in Croydon on the 15th December.

The second was held on  Wednesday 8th February 2012 which was aimed to tackle similar issues relating to those in our community who were migrants, refugees or seeking asylum.

The second event will be held at the CVA Resource Centre, 82 London Road, CRO 2TB in London Road and will also offer the opportunity for organisations providing services to these communities to profile their work.  
It will also be an opportunity to involve people who are; or wish to become involved in supporting this work.
