Mike started his career in the Merchant Navy and spent many years in various senior management roles in the ferry industry. He was Sealink’s Director of Purchasing and Supply, ran a hotel in Northern Ireland and a major UK-wide distribution company.

He acquired his own ferry company, carrying 5m passengers a year to the Isle of Wight. During his career he has owned and operated a world-renowned restaurant, a West End nightclub, a tour-operating company and a perfume and beauty salon.

In recent years he was Customer and Support Services Director for Docklands Light Railway and Bid Director for two major rail franchises. As CEO of the London Business Network he developed CompeteFor a procurement portal enabling over 10,000 SMEs to gain contracts from the Olympic Authorities.
