CVA is the umbrella organisation to over 1,000 voluntary organisations and community groups covering the London Borough of Croydon. We support you to set up a group, obtain charity registration, start fundraising, find premises, develop marketing, help trustees to work out their responsibilities, set up financial systems, policies and procedures, and much more.

If you need support:

  • Send an email to: Explain what you need. Please include as much detail as possible e.g. budget, plan, issue etc
  • You will get a response within seven working days which will cover initial advice / signposting, training support, and / or a list of further questions.
  • Most support will then be offered by email / phone e.g. you may be asked to send in your funding application and this will be checked by email for you
  • A limited number of free face to face 2 hour sessions will also be given to Croydon based groups needing more in-depth advice on particular topics (determined by the capacity building advisor as part of the above process).

We also provide training across all subjects listed above to meet the needs of new, emerging community groups as well as more established voluntary organisations / social enterprises that you may want to attend. All of our events are listed in  our CVA events & training calendar. From Safeguarding Children to applying for funding from the European Union - you will find a huge range of essential support for your organisation.
