The next phase of the South West London Investment fund has started! The fund is for innovative projects that could have a big impact on health and wellbeing across South West London (Croydon, Merton, Kingston, Sutton, Richmond, Wandsworth).
There are two parts to the Investment Fund:
1. ICP PRIORITIES FUND (formerly Innovation Fund)
For project supporting the delivery of the Integrated Care Partnership’s strategic plan and priorities. The fund is divided into two categories with the following distribution of monies;

Category 1: ICP Workforce priority has an 80% allocation of funding

Category 2: Remaining ICP priorities and cross cutting themes focussed (excluding Health inequalities which is the focus of the Health Inequalities fund outlined below) has an allocation of 20% of the funding. The remaining ICP priorities are:

Preventing ill-health, promoting self-care, and supporting people to manage their long-term conditions

Supporting the health and care needs of children and young people
-
Positive focus on mental well-being
-
Community based support for older and frail people

The cross-cutting themes are the Green agenda and Elevating the patient, carer and community voice.
The ICP Priorities Fund has a budget of £5 million across the two financial years until March 2025.
2. THE HEALTH INEQUALITIES FUND
This fund wants to tackle Health Inequalities (Core20+5) across South West London. For projects implementing targeted health inequalities interventions for local populations.
£4.3 million is available to South West London for 2023/24 with a similar value anticipated for 2024/25.but 75% is for existing schemes and 25% for new schemes.
The six boroughs in South West London has received an allocation of the funding using a needs-based approach.
Applications for this fund should be made via NHS Place Leads; this is due to the specific requirements of the Health Inequalities Funding (full details will soon be available on application site). Successful schemes will be authorised to run until the end of March 2025.

The ICS will be holding a virtual information event on both funds on Monday 2 October 2023 at 2.00-3.00pm. To attend email swl.investmentfund@swlondon.nhs.uk with your full name and the name of your organisations and the invitation will be sent to you.
In addition to this event they will hold a series of online advice sessions during the application period to support applicants with queries.
In response to feedback from last year’s process they have created an online portal for applications to both funds. Each fund has a clearly signposted online application form that can be saved and returned to before submission, the portal contains information on how to apply and also how to access technical support.
Applications for both funds will open on Monday 2 October and close on Friday 10 November 2023. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted via email and invited to attend a virtual panel. Selection panels for each of the funds will be held in November 2023.
