Local mum of two Sue has been really interested in the idea of setting up a playstreet where the family lives and connected Croydon Council's officer for Play Streets. Sue organised, with their help, 3 pilot sessions in September and October 2018 on  Livingstone road in Thornton Heath! Our Best Start ABCD builder was also able to use seed funding to help her purchasing skipping ropes, hula hoops etc than can now be used by local families for future initiatives! Kavitha is a resident with two children (6&3) who has a passion for sewing that she wants to share with the community. Through our Best Start ABCD community builder, she has been connected to St Paul's church in Thornton Heath, which offered a space on Thursday morning from 9.30. The sewing group will run fortnightly; there are also 2 new sewing machines that the church has from the Old make it craft group that Kavitha can use fur the group.
